why we made this

We designed these boxers to be snug with a bit of stretch so when we're practicing our slam-dunk we don't worry about bouncing junk. We made them out of wicking COOLMAX® fabric that dries quickly so we can work up a sweat without worrying about the extra weight.

Pray that yours don't get holy on you.. I thought these were a godsend until I found that nearly every pair I own (four out of five) started to get holes in them. They showed up in the buttocks, the waistband started to separate from the main body, and they just don't stand up to regular use which is unfortunate because the fit is beyond awesome and super comfy. I didn't even mind the price until I found out that the reviews are sadly all true and consistent with my experience. In all my years of underwear, I have never had a product or brand do what this product has consistently done over time. I can only imagine it is a design defect, or real quality issue. I do not think it is a problem with the construction notwith standing the waistband issue mentioned above (which is more akin to a tear in the material at the waistband as opposed to a failure in the stitching), it must be shoddy, cheaap, low-rent materials. The high price is just that, but as much as I love the fit, I cannot endorse this product at any price. June 18, 2013
Poor Quality They simply fall apart too quickly. Some of my friends who sit at their jobs say they fall apart even faster than mine have. I work as a cook and stand for upwards of 14 hours a day, putting less strain on the material but they still fall apart. I really recommend against buying the shorts. June 4, 2013
Changes would benefit the product The fit wasn't as expected as I was expecting better support. The material wasn't the best, could use more lycra. But I do see a ton of reviews about how they don't last, which I don't see as necessarily a bad thing because you should replace them every few months. May 25, 2013
Used to be better As some have stated before, this product used to have the double layer fabric in the front, new style does not, giving a much cheaper feel and IMO less comfort. I would rather a few extra dollars to the price tag and the old style quality back. Quite disappointed as these were the only boxers I've wore for the past 7 years, I am looking at competitors products now until lulu addresses this. Please contact me if/when old style is available. Great, but not for long.. I bought my first pair of these last August and they instantly became my favorite pair or boxers. As soon as a could I bought 2 more pairs to add to my collection and my girlfriend bought me another 2. To my surprise, after owning my first pair for around 6 months they started getting holes in the crotch area (what seems to be a re occurring problem). Lululemon please fix this problem with another layer of fabric between the legs and in the crotch area, that's all they need. It's insane that you have taken this long to do so, especially for one of your most popular male products and especially because of my understanding that they used to last longer and be of better quality. These boxers fell short of my expectations for the 25 dollar a pair price tag and Lululemon's reputation for build quality. Please fix my favorite pair of underwear and until you do so I won't be purchasing anymore. Great boxers.. Still great! I've been buying these for the past year-and-a-half and I love them. They're great under jeans or when practicing some hot yoga. My favorite thing about them is that you don't have to rearrange them when you put your jeans on- they're like a second skin. Keep the new colors coming. May 18, 2013
Do not buy the yellow I went on a limb despite the recent almost unanimous bad reviews and picked up a pair of yellow to replace an old pair, and lets just say the very thin material (esp absent a double layer in the front), doesnt not either support or leave much to the imagination. I would return these if i could, but i can't, glad theyre aleast underwear, but in the future im going for the Nike combat gear - much better May 18, 2013
Used to be the favourite...not any more I bought a pair of these for my boyfriend in February 2010 (the sweet comic book ones...) and they instantly became his favourite boxers. He's a fairly athletic guy with an athletic build, being in the military he's active and moving throughout the day. He has probably at least 10 pairs and this is all he wears....until recently. Any pair bought in the last year or so has fallen apart or is going to pretty soon. He gets the same holes others have posted about in these reviews, the ones in between the legs. The quality has declined. lululemon can say that nothing has changed but the fact that these reviews keep stating the same issue means that yes indeed, the fabric quality has declined. He has pairs that are a few years old that are still in good shape, yet ones we bought recently have already deteriorated. I'm lucky, I went to a store and they replaced a pair, but I'm embarrassed to keep going back when pair after pair falls apart. I keep hoping the quality will improve, but they have not. He loves the fit of them and the fun colours are pretty cool, but sorry, until the quality improves we won't be purchasing any more, and I've now stopped recommending them to friends. Holes! I'm glad I finally read these reviews. My husband has been wearing the game on boxers for 2.5 years now. He wears them as his "everyday" boxers. My husband has had 7 pairs, and none of them has lasted any more than 2-3 months before developing holes in the crotch area. We thought maybe it was him, but after reading the reviews, we realize maybe it is not. He initially started with only 2 pairs, after those developed holes, we thought maybe he was just wearing them too much, so he added more to the rotation, but the same thing happened... holes. $24 is a lot to pay for a pair of boxers that will only last a couple of months before getting holes in them. Formerly best briefs - now holes after 3 washes I have always championed the quality of lululemon, and have converted many of my friends to understanding why it's worth paying the high tag for a lasting, outrageously comfortable product. Sadly, that is no longer the case with their briefs. I've been wearing these briefs exclusively for years. About a year and a half ago, I noticed that all my newer pairs would get holes after only a few washings. I live in NYC, so I have the benefit of being near several brick and mortar lulu stores. I went to three different locations to inquire, and all three claimed they had never heard of the problem before. It's clear from these reviews that that's simply not true - many have complained about cheaper quality and holes. Now, not only am I disappointed in the declining quality of my favorite briefs, I am surprised at the lack of candor with which the problem is being handled by the company. May 3, 2013
