Nicely done, Lululemon!
I was a little skeptical about buying online, especially since this was a present for someone who had never shopped at Lululemon before. The mixed reviews on the hoodie didn't help either, but I decided it was the right price for part of my boyfriend's birthday present, so I crossed my fingers and hoped.
The ONLY issue I had with this order was on stupid Fedex's part. Everything else was perfect.
Specs: he's 6'1", small-boned and thin (or "wiry" as he likes to say). He ALWAYS has trouble with short sleeves. In terms of build, he is almost exclusively a small. He has a short torso, long legs, and long arms - his long arms are the reason why he always has to buy a medium. As this was a secret surprise, I had no idea what his actual measurements were.
The medium fits like a dream. Something about is sexy and sporty and, unlike a couple of previous commenters, there's nothing weird-looking about the offset zipper. As a matter of fact, I think it helps to hide how thin he is and bulks him up. The sleeves are a good length and he can wear it with a just a t-shirt, or a t-shirt and a light longsleeved shirt, but not one of his thicker sweaters. This hoodie/jacket is definitely made for spring-like weather when you're in between your heavier, hot winter jacket and just wearing a couple of shirts. The fabric is nice and the jacket itself is well-built and meant to last. I love it and he loves it, for which I'm very thankful because before this hoodie, he wouldn't have ever thought about wearing something from Lululemon.
My adivce: size up. Depending on your build and/or bulk, the fit might be really snug. On my guy, it's nicely fitted all around, including in the arms (YES!). Really glad we sized up. Get this: it's good value for your money.

the new mens hoodie
Hi guys and girls,
I thought I would write a review for this hoodie since I now own one and was looking at buying one for a loooong time but was skeptical about it and was hoping for more reviews.
I am 6'2 and I weigh 230lbs,
a little overweight for my height, but I buy these hoodies for comfort not so much yoga. I am a tradesman in northern Alberta.
I had Pacific Beach hoodie for a few years and it finally bit the bullet a few months ago after so much wear :P
I was given one of these hoodies in a XL which I thought would be a little baggy and it is a little bit, but I am so glad it is XL because its proportioned strangely. I would not call this jacket "fitted"
To confirm, the arms ARE to short for a tall man, they would probably be great for the regularly tall man, but not for a 6'2 guy (I buy the "tall" in every jacket I can, Carhatt, Dickes etc.)
But most the time I wear it unzipped, with the sleeves pull to my elbows, hood on, and I am very comfortable.
It is very warm and the most comfortable hoodie I have owned so far, warmer and softer then the Pacific beach hoodie, but not as cool. The chest pocket big enough for an iphone, but not much else, and the zipper doesn't work very well on mine, but the button keeps my phone from falling out. The side pockets are good, and the inside pockets are really deep and a little thin to get my big hands in, but they work well.
I like the hoodie though, I really do. Its warm enough to just throw on to get the mail in the morning, or go for a jog in the evening, go out for the day without worry about it being a little chilly or windy. They also got rid of those silly holes in the hood itself that used to be in the Pacific beach hoodie.
Overall, if they could take the warmth and comfort of this hoodie, and put it in the style of the Pacific Beach (with thumb holes!!) they would have the most killer hoodie for the Canadian seasons.
If ladies are looking to buy their man (who is around my size) a hoodie for whatever occasion, I wrote this for you. Its a great hoodie for any occasion, and I really appreciate it.

Classic hoodie with colorful twist
Love this hoodie, it fits great and goes with with all my other pieces. It gives you a bit of color when you need it most this time of year! Great item, would recommend to anyone! Can't wait for the next limited edition color pattern to arrive!

go back to the classic hoodie
This is my 4th lululemon hoodie. My favourite is still the original hoodie I have from 5+ years ago. My recent 3 hoodies have been "good" but there's always at least one thing I don't like about them. This hoodie specifically, the chest pocket drives me nuts. I don't need a zipper AND a clasp on the pocket. Second, the pocket is slightly too small. The majority of my friends have iPhones. While the iPhone fits, it is very snug and not easy to put back in the pocket. Lastly, there are no zippers on the side pockets. At minimum, buttons on the side pockets, however zippers would be preferable.
Requests:
1) zippered chest pocket large enough to easily take out/put in iPhone.
2) zippered side pockets
3) no button clasps

Good product, would buy again (I actually did)
To be honest, I'd never thought I'd be wearing a lululemon product, ever. Until I was swayed by a female friend who is an avid lululemon fan.
This hoodie fits just right, and a bit of wiggle room to move around. The off-center zipper took a few wears to get used to, I just ignore it now, so it doesn't bother me that much. After purchasing a black one, I was hooked! I went back and got a gray one after. Wanted a super blue one, but the store clerks said that color is discontinued, what a mix bag of disappointment. Hopefully the designers will continue making blue color hoodies, instead of the purple, baby blue, baby blue with strips, and all of the other non-favorable odd colors.
And I'm no yoga guru or track athlete (so I guess I'm a sweaty generalist with solid body type?), I am 5'8, around 150 pounds, with an average body type (maybe a few pounds extra too, don't hate). Size small fits great.
Area for improvement: thumb hole (sleeve hole? not sure what that feature is called).

Offset zipper feels like a mistake or a joke
My husband and I love all things lululemon. However, this sweatshirt, we wish we had never purchased. My husband never wears it, bc every time he attempts to put it on he gets frustrated with the zipper. Sweatshirt would have been perfect otherwise. We agree with other posters- put the zipper back where it was.

Very very tight compared to other lululemon hoodie
I have purchased several other hoodies before and found that an XL is quite loose on me, however I couldnt even zip up the XXL in this hoodie. The arms are also very short, i had to double check that this wasnt a ladies that was in the wrong pile. I love the look but it has been made too small for me to shop at this store anymore.

That Zipper!
I just wanted to say that I would have bought this hoodie a thousand times over for my boyfriend had it not been for that ridiculous off set zipper. I think it totally ruins the look and agree with others that it is probably very annoying when the hoodie is undone. Move the zipper back to the middle and you'll have yourself not only a very satisfied lulu womens clothing customer but also a very satisfied boyfriend (who will no doubt become a very satisfied lulu mens clothing customer as well).

Great Hoodie With Deal breakers
This is a great hoodie. More like a jacket than traditional hoodie. Material is heavy in a good way. The offset zipper is ok.
What makes this a 2 star review rather than a 4 start review is the check pocket zipper is essentially useless. There is really no way to zip it without it getting caught on the jacket. For a $100+ hoodie I expect a higher quality of workmanship.
