Studio Pack 4.5 5 11 11
Awesome bag. Not a great commuter. I love this bag. Well made, nice pockets and storage for gear and clothes from home to office to studio. Commuter beware: Your mat may interfere with the back of your helmet. I commuted with my bag and gear for the first time yesterday. I had to stop and repack my mat to the lowest point possible to keep the top of the mat from hitting the back my helmet. The helmet, mind you, is a road racing helmet so that may make a difference. It might work better with a street helmet that is a little more flush in the rear. Just a thought. May 17, 2013
Great for commuters! I have been eyeing this bag for several weeks now and as soon as it hit WMTM I promptly ordered one online. The style isn't something I would normally go for but because of other good reviews and the excellent multi-functional design I wanted to give it try. I love that it's a backpack, that makes it so much easier on my shoulders to carry, it separates my school and gym gear perfectly, the structure of the large gym bag section is great , it opens up nicely for you to be able to see everything in there. My 16.5" laptop fits perfectly in the sleeve. The only thing that bugs me are the buckles along the zipper, they tend to get in the way May 13, 2013
wonderful all-around bag bought this backpack for my boyfriend, but ended up stealing it for personal use ! great to-go bag for school/work, i can stuff my laptop, textbooks, lunch, and gym clothing for my whole day ! yoga mat stays put, don't need to take it out to access other pockets of the bag. lululemon, please make more colors ! My new gym bag I previously had another LuLu bag that I brought to the gym but, after it started to fray I needed a new one. I took one look at this bag and new it was going to be my new bag. The best about the bag is that when it is unzipped the main compartment is huge. There is no more squeezing shoes or shorts through your typical back pack opening. I also the like the laptop compartment and there is a small hidden pocket on the side that is great to put your phone, keys and wallet in. March 15, 2013
Excellent work & yoga bag Here's the deal: I slide in my Macbook Air, a pair of slippers, and a change of clothes and I'm out the door. For me it works because I typically travel light and the bag has enough room for the essentials, including the mat on the outside of course. I also like the outside pocket for my smartphone and how the bag buckles around your waist. February 24, 2013
poor design on backzipper This bag is excellent in all areas except two (big factors for me so hence the 3 stars). I bought this because I wanted a bag that fit my yoga gear, lunch and also books, laptop, work folder. While things are seemingly perfectly organized, the pack is not functional because first off, it doesn't fit much stuff (but looks like I'm going on a big hike) and it takes time to get things in and out. -this bag looks huge but actually can't fit that many things. See luluhomme's review. I totally agree with him. -The backpack straps go over the back zipper so you have to move the straps in order to unzipper- this might not seem like a big deal but the straps are bulky because they are cushioned and structured (they automatically move back to their original place and get in the way of zippering). -The front bag needs to be unclipped in order to take things out. When you are in a rush this also takes too much time. It was such a big effort to get things in and out of that pack that I ended up returning it and getting the urban trekker and a duffel bag for days when I'm carrying more stuff. Life (and my bag) should be simple. February 11, 2013
Supreme Workout Bag i needed a bag that could hold all of my gym items as well as my mat without being too big or bulky. a duffel was out of the question because it's too difficult to ride a bike safely or comfortably with a duffel bag. believe me, i've tried. I tried carrying my mat in a backpack, but that wasn't working out very well, either. it was awkward at best. after checking out the bags online and in-store, i settled on the Studio Pack. it's designed extremely well - there is plenty of room for everything. the yoga mat storage is simple but sophisticated-looking. i like the fact that there are so many internal pockets for storage, including the pouches for laptop, tablet, etc... and the bonus bag that comes inside is perfect for carrying sweaty clothes post-workout so they don't end up getting the rest of the bag smelly or wet. i noticed a reviewer criticized the bag for not having a water bottle pouch. two reasons why it doesn't need one: it would detract from the look of the bag, and there is so much room available inside the bag that a pouch simply isn't necessary. i have yet to test the water-resistance of the bag, as i haven't taken it out in wet weather yet. however, it looks as though it should do fine under wet weather circumstances. nice work! One of the best purchases ever I cant say enough about this bag. I almost stopped going to on campus yoga classes because it meant I had to drag my yoga mat to actual class before hand. With this, I can bring my laptop to class and carry my yoga mat at the same time. The bag looks awesome too! Since I have gotten it at least 10 people asked where they could get one. February 5, 2013
Excellent backpack (for ladies too) I don't use the backpack for work and working out. I actually have a separate business backpack for my laptop. For me, I can't even imagine combining the two. However, as a yoga backpack, this one can't be beaten. I put two blocks, a full towel and some small sweaty towels as well as a bottle of water in there. I also strap The Mat to the outside, and it works perfectly. I love it that I can unzip the entire length of the pack and be able to see everything that is in there. I don't have to reach down to the bottom of a pack any more. My only wish would be that you put a water bottle holder on the outside of the pack. January 23, 2013
studio pack for the ladies too! i wanted a less feminine bag that would hold my The Mat, preferably upright, and would keep my laptop safe. found and found! i have another shoulder style Lulu bag [can't think of the name right now... oops!] that i use for some things but it was just getting too heavy. finding this bag has done the trick, i think! it has enough room and a netted pouch to hold my shower stuff, room for a change of shoes and clothes, and dedicated pocket for my Air and Kindle. if you have another bag you use for something, this is great. if you're looking for this to be your only go to bag, keep looking... it's great, sturdy enough to hold The Mat, and the material seems durable. and it doesn't look like every other bag out there!
