Lightweight versatile hat Bought this hat for running. It's a good looking hat even though I have a big head, it didn't look weird at all. I first used it at the gym for weights, even though I'm used to using baseball caps but they soap up sweat. This thing was still light as ever and didn't feel damp at all! Going to buy another one. great hat! I never give reviews but saw this hat only had one and the review itself was based off the service one had and not the actual hat. I love this hat and am very happy with the purchase. The hat fits great and looks even better. I always wear a hat when I work out so they get ruined pretty quickly. I like the hats so much I've ordered one in each color. I am contemplating ordering more because its hard to find a hat that's stylish and can be worn at the gym. I would definitely recommend purchasing this item, but if you are unsure go to the store since it is final sale! June 11, 2014
Product is decent; in-store service...not so much Let me preface this review by commenting that I normally love Lulu and shop at your stores religiously for my own running gear. I love you Lulu, but I feel a need to rant about my most recent shopping experience. First, I'll review the hat. I got my fiance the blue version of this hat as a gift. He would have rather had the other colour (my bad!)...but because it is a hat, it is apparently a final sale even though tags are attached (this makes no sense to me...more on that later). Second, the hat is pretty decent, but there are better ones at other Running Specialty shops. The adjuster is made out of very cheap looking material. I probably should have purchased a hat somewhere else, but I am rather biased to Lulu and thought it was a rather stylish running hat. Second, I'll review the in-store service that I received that day and Lulu's return policy. Terrible. Upon purchasing the hat, I requested a gift receipt in case I chose the wrong colour (which I did - sigh), but she said it was a final sale. I asked why out of curiosity, and she responded (in a very rude tone, no less), "because some people might have lice." I get that this is store policy (hence why I am writing a review). I would like to argue that your return policy on hats is founded on faulty logic for several reasons: #1: People try on hats in-store. Lice could be transmitted this way. So why don't you make it a policy that nobody is allowed to try on hats? #2: If lice are such an issue, then what about public lice? Shouldn't you not allow returns on pants, crops, and shorts as well? #3: Lice, as outlined by public health authorities, do not carry disease, and although I agree that lice are gross, your fears about them are ultimately unfounded. #4: In all honesty, what % of the adult population who shop at Lulu even have lice? Not enough to warrant this return policy, that's for sure! Enough with the OCD and using hygiene as a ploy for a return policy that benefits your profit margin. If the tags are attached, you should be accepting returns and exchanges on headward. Or, if lice really are such a problem, people shouldn't be allowed to try headwear on. Period. Don't try to act like you're doing us all a favour by preventing a lice outbreak; you simply want people stuck with their purchases so that Lulu gets more $. All in all, don't bother buying this as a gift unless you have better fashion sense than me and are sure you will pick a good colour. Bottom line: Please be more kind to your customers with better service and a more logical return policy, Lulu! Rant over (as is my shopping at Lulu for headwear). #heartbroken March 20, 2014
