Movement Jacket

Comfortable cotton paired with LYCRA® to make a soft, breathable fabric with four-way stretch and great shape retention

why we made this

When we say we like to chill out after class, we're not talking about the cold, wintry walk home. We designed this jacket to keep us cozy when we're on the move. The super-soft fabric is naturally breathable so we can let go of excess heat and the deep hood protects our ears (and noses) from blustery winds. Sounds like a h'om run to us.

Movement Jacket 4.3 5 82 82
Perfect Spring hoodie! I ordered two hoodies, hoping I wouldn't fall in love with them both, and have already decided this is the one to keep. (If you're thinking of the Warm Core Hoodie, you can check out my review, also a nice jacket). I ordered up as suggested, liking my Lulus on the roomier side, and the 10 is perfect! I'm 5'6", 126#. I love the heathered white which is actually a light grey. Soft and comfortable. Feels so good I don't want to take it off! PS I love Lulu's super fast shipping! I ordered this yesterday and voila!! Returns are easy too, in the same envelope, pop in the mail box. Thank you for the ease in ordering online! January 22, 2015
Yes, yes, yes!!! OMG, LOVE this hoodie! It walks the line perfectly between softly feminine and outright sexy, plus it's soft and medium-weight to boot! Love the cut, the length and the fact it flares gently from the princess seams to cover hips. I'm only 5 feet, with broad ribcage and shoulders--so I took direction from reviews and ordered up a size. If you want a GORGEOUS hoodie that goes ANYWHERE, I highly recommend this baby. Tons of compliments. Form-fitting, yes--but in an attractive, enhancing way!! Love everything about it. January 16, 2015
Wanted to love On the hanger I thought this sweatshirt was adorable. However, it is the most awkward fitted hoodie I have ever had on. The cut is extremely unflattering, as the bottom flares out and I would have tried a 2 instead of my regular size 4 but then the sweatshirt would have been too tight everywhere else. So disappointed! Love I got this hoodie in the grey floral print in a size 6 - I agree it fits a little bigger but the size 6 fits like it does the models in the pics. I ordered this online and the ruffles and hood were so washed out and faded looking, I returned it to the store and they told me it was meant to look like that - who wants a washed out look? Weird. I ordered it again online and it was perfect with no fading! Hooray. FYI I bought this hoodie in black last summer and returned it also because it was so faded and worn looking. Seems to be hit and miss. Overall it's super cute and so amazingly comfy - a must have :) January 6, 2015
Lots of Compliments I am not a floral person at all but the grey/black/white floral pattern just called to me. The subtly ruffled hood is lined in a soft silky material which makes this hoodie look very feminine and unique. I also love the contrasting cuffs with thumbholes. I have worn it twice and got compliments both times. The only complaint I have is that the stomach area slightly sticks out because of the ruching around the pockets. You can see it in some of the model pictures when their hands are not in the pockets. It is even more pronounced on the striped hoodie which prevented me from purchasing that as well. I found this hoodie to run a little big. I wear 6 in the current versions of Define and Scuba and got this in a 4. January 6, 2015
Had to have this hoodie! Got this in black, and I love it! It is so cute, love the ruffle hood trim and the pocket details. Adds great character to the boring old hoodie. The length is perfect, not too short. I love athletic clothing that I can wear for both work and play. I'm 5'8", 160 lbs, curvy and in good shape. I got size 10 and it fits just like the model! Classic Lululemon: offensive and expensive. This is probably the cutest and most unique hoodie I've seen at lululemon. I was so excited to try it on in store and was thrilled that the 10 fit just a little too snug - this meant that I could order the piece in a size 12 online! WRONG. Apparently, if you're a size 12, no matter how fit you are (or how willing you are to shell out ridiculous sums of money to support a company whose core philosophy of size-bias and exclusivity seems to be in complete contradiction to its outward "mantra" of well-being) you are not allowed to wear this piece. That's right ladies, if you're a size 12 you can forget purchasing this! You're not proportioned well enough to allow this hoodie to rest it's fabric on your skin. Doesn't anyone else find this sizing bias offensive? Is there really a legitimate reason why certain garments are not produced in size 12? If anyone in customer service is listening, I have a gift card now because the clothes I like from your store aren't made in my size. This means I don't want to spend any more money in your store. I would like to be refunded the money. I will be cashing out of a store that doesn't consider its "larger customers" as worthy as its small or average customers. And if you value any and all customers equally, I'd expect a reply and an effort to make amends to anyone who is a size 12 by offering the same selection for every single size. If not, you should also consider changing your mantra to "we are exclusive and selective and do not promote healthy living but rather promote shallow size-profiling". January 5, 2015
Awkward Fit... Comfy though I tried this on in the store. It is super comfy and lightweight (lighter than the scuba) but the fit is weird. As some of the other reviews noted, it is tight in the arms and gets wider towards the bottom. It kind of flares out oddly at the hips, even in a smaller size. December 27, 2014
Cute, but not a must-have I ordered the navy floral print after upload and was able to try on the black in store the next day. I did not find the arms to be snug in my tts and the body of the jacket was loose, but not overly so (it was snug around the bottom band, as it should be). Beyond the ruffle details, the jacket is rather plain and not particularly flattering due to the looser cut, though it is nice to have a few looser options when you don't feel like wearing something skin tight. Had it not been for the cute print, I would not have purchased it. Also, one other thing to note is since it is cotton like a scuba, you probably want to avoid throwing it in the dryer to prevent fading. The black I tried on in store already had a worn-in look, so I imagine it will continue to fade. Since I hang-dry most of my lulu, this shouldn't be an issue for me. For reference, I normally wear a 6 or 8 in jackets depending on the fabric (forme, define, scuba) and an 8 in tops since I like a looser fit and I have a wide rib cage/lats. My arms are pretty muscular and I have broad shoulders. December 26, 2014
Really weird fit So sad, I really wanted to love this jacket but the fit is so strange. The arms are really tight, but the midsection is really big and loose. I can't figure out what the purpose of this completely contrasting fit between the arms and midsection would be. I'm usually a 4/6 in lulu tops, 6 in slim fit jackets -- this jacket fits like the arms are a 2/4 and the midsection is a 8/10. Really weird. Very disappointing, the details on the jacket are great, really love the detailed ruffled hood and pockets, it reminds me of the old back to class jacket, but without the flattering fit of that jacket. While I appreciate the midsection isn't super tight like a lot of styles, it's completely disproportionate with the arms. Another huge disappointment is the fabric. I ordered the black and it's not a deep black, but instead very faded looking like its been thrown in the dryer many times over several years. The faded distressed black color doesn't go with the stylish details of the jacket and was really disappointing considering the extremely high price for a hoodie sweatshirt. For $118 I expect it to at least look new when it's brand new. Gave the jacket 2 stars just for the styling and great details, unfortunately execution of the design is a fail. December 1, 2014
