Scuba Hoodie II 4.1 5 179 180
Disappointed Having purchased several hoodies in the past from Lululemon, i was more than disappointed with my recent online purchase. I bought this scuba in size 6 (as I had for the previous scubas with thumbholes and side panels, which I could also wear a 4 comfortable too). When it arrived in the mail it was so snug I couldn't even wear a tank top underneath it. I normally wear 4/6 in all lululemon items. When I laid the new purchase on top of my other older scubas, there was a huge size decrease in the new hoodie. It was comparable to a size 2/4 in width and the arms much snugger. Since the hoodie was too snug, I returned it and had to get a different colour in a size 8 as they were sold out of the colour i purchased online which made me very upset. Had i of known they changed their sizing i would have ordered the appropriate size and been happy with my purchase. When I got home with my new size 8 item, I laid it on top of my size 6 and it too was smaller in width and in the arms than my size 6 hoodies purchased from previous years. For reference I am 5'8", 120lbs and should not be needing to size up to an 8, when i sized up to a 6 previously that was even slightly big. How can a staple item change so much? Essentially they are making a size 2/4 when the tag says size 6, I should not have to size up 2 sizes to achieve the same size as my previous scuba hoodie. It was bad enough when they took out the stretch side panels and shortened the hoodies to save on materials, but now to skimp so much on material and claim that the item is a size 6 when in reality it is only a size 2/4 is pretty shallow. Now I am out my size in the hoodie I really wanted because they decided to change their sizing to be cheap and save money. If i am paying over 100.00 for a hoodie I should be happy and Lululemon should not skimp on the material. This is ridiculous and I will definitely reconsider my purchases if the sizing is going to be so inconsistent. If you are going to change the sizing at least have the common courtesy to let your customers know so that they can make purchases accordingly and keep your clientele happy. I am going to return the size 8 hoodie tomorrow as I do not like the colour as much as the original and don't feel I was treated fairly as a dedicated customer. I hope they release more in the desired colour, but I highly doubt it because they make such a limited supply. Word of advice: don't buy online and risk the sizing being way off. Or order several sizes and return the ones that don't fit (this option seems to be an extreme case, considering lululemon has a sizing chart, maybe it should be followed, so that this issue does not happen going forward) So angry. Warm and flattering hoodie I really like the Scuba II, much better than the Scuba stretch. I love the length (about mid-hip on me - I'm 5'5", 125# with a shorter torso). It's very warm - I get a little too hot inside in it. I love the thumbholes and oversized hood. Negative - it certainly runs very slim. I ordered my TTS size 6 in the forest green and a size up 8 in black marbled grape. I decided to go with the size 8. The size 6 felt a bit constricting. If you're looking for a comfortable fit right out of the dryer, go with a size up. I can fit two layers underneath without it being too tight. I love the black grape color - it looks more like an indigo blue. October 22, 2014
Love it, but... Got my heathered green teal/inkwell in mail today and I absolutely love it, but when I looked down at my arm I noticed what looked like a piece of green lint on it. Wrong, it was a hole! I am so disappointed as my size is no longer available. I am just glad I hadn't cut the tag off yet. Other then that I love these hoodies. I wear 2 or 4 in tops and have these in both but prefer the snugger feel of the sz 2. Very warm and cozy in this cooler weather. October 22, 2014
i like it! I just received this jacket, after alot of back and forth should i should i not.. I own a scuba hoodie stretch which i am really happy with. This isnt the stretch version, so I wasnt sure how it would fit. I took a chance, read the reviews, and purchased a size bigger than i usually would. I am a size 6-8 in shirts, bought a 10. Fits rather good. a little snug in arms/ chest, and a little baggy in the waist. My bust size is 36DD in lulu bras. I can zip it up all the way nicely. But would of prefered the waist smaller and the arms bigger. Anyhow, the scuba hoodie stretch i still prefer by a mile! October 22, 2014
Super warm! Winter must-have. Bought this before going to Alberta in October. Best decision I made! Very warm and comfortable. I wore it the whole trip. It does fit snug so I bought a size 6 rather than my usual size 4 and it's perfect. Worth the money as I know this will last me a long time, so hard to find a decent time hoodie that is warm, long enough in the sleeves and fits nicely in all areas! October 21, 2014
Disappointed My husband bought this for me after my last half marathon, I was so excited to have a new black hoodie ( my 7th lulu hoodie). I was soon disappointed. After one wash it faded, it also has white elastic popping out in the elbow area? I have been a faithful lulu customer for 8 plus years. Are you growing so fast that you have let your quality decline? October 20, 2014
faded I bought this in West Edmonton mall store late last year and was very excited for my very first lululemon item. The fabric was thick and the feel is awesome, really great item either layering or just by itself. However, i did noticed that after a few wash that the color becomes really faded as if i had it for 5 years. I normally don't wash it very often as i am very careful in wearing them. So sad about this item. I just wear them around the house as it looks old. October 20, 2014
Zipper MELTED in the dryer The jacket has a nice fit and is very warm. However, as other reviewer's have said, the colors faded quickly from the wash and then the zipper melted in the dryer. Using cheap plastic zippers for their jackets is a reflection of declining quality of the Lululemon line. I will not be buying more clothes from them and regret having made this purchase. Pleasantly Surprised Overall I thought the scuba hoodies were a bit over priced, however I couldn't pass the opportunity to buy one during the warehouse sale. I was a bit unsure of sizing because I had never tried one on in store, simply because I would never buy one full price. The only size in a print I liked happened to be a 2, and I read some reviews saying that everyone was ordering a size up. I panicked when it arrived and it was snug... HOWEVER, if you simply just stretch the side panels it fits perfectly (great NEW feature for scuba hoodie II). I am petite athletic, 5'2" 115 pounds and lift weights so I usually have a tapered top half which works perfectly as the shoulders are a bit on the roomy side. And for me, a size up would make me look big. Just wanted to share my tip with those on the fence about sizing! October 19, 2014
Love it When the print I liked went on sale, I took a chance and ordered it online. I should've gone into the store to try one on but I didn't have time. Plus, I really didn't want it to sell out. And you can't pass up a Scuba Hoodie on Sale! After going back and forth on the size, reading reviews, and even contacting customer service, I decided to go not one, but two sizes up. I consider myself average to petite with a larger bust: 5'4, 125lbs, 34D. I wanted the hoodie to zip but not be baggy. I took a chance on an 8 and it fits great. If I got the 6 I don't think it would've zipped comfortably and I would likely not be able to wear a sweater underneath it. Safe to say it is not tts but I am very happy with the purchase and will be getting another. October 17, 2014
