Free To Be Bra
The padding is horrible
I love lulu lemons running collection, my favourite are the shorts. I was super excited to find a funky sports bra that fit my chest area snuggly as I'm flat and very athletic. I was super upset with the fact after one hand washing it dryer and the padding was never the same. The seams also started fraying and coming apart. For the cost of the bra the quality is definitely not there.
Also fyi my run free crops (i think that is the name) have also given me some problems, my latest pair the previous ones we're great and latest forever. These ones have runs down the front quad area.
Thank you, Hope the company goes back to its old roots

Love this bra however sizing is inconsistent
I do believe this is the best Lululemon bra (for me). I suffer from neck pain and with this on not only does it not bother my neck, but half of the time I forget Im wearing it because its so darn comfortable. Unlike the Y bra and Energy bra I barely catch myself fiddling with the straps in yoga class (some of the straps from my other bras bother my neck and after a pose Im always moving it over a little).
However I did notice a HUGE size/the way it was cut difference between the bra I bought in store and the one I ordered online. I tried on the sashiko print free to be bra in store and it felt extremely true to size. It felt super comfy, didn't dig anywhere and overall felt like one of my favorite worn-in pajama shirts that I've had for years.
The one I ordered online in blue calm was completely off. It felt stiff and was tight underneath one armpit and felt like an "armpit wedgie". It was then that I notice the sashiko print I bought in store was made in China, while the blue calm ordered online was made in Cambodia :/
Now I can understand people's frustration when two women order the same size and one loves the item while another women dislikes it. I understand not everyone's body is the same but now I just wonder if its also due to an inconsistent sizing issue. Lululemon does have factories/warehouses in China, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and other parts of the South East and East Asian coast, so I believe thats where the sizing issue comes from. Anyways this is just my opinion, I could be wrong!
Overall this bra will be going back in exchange for one in store. Maybe Lululemon can ship online orders made from the same factory their stores carry. Just a suggestion!
If it helps Im a size 4 in Lululemon everything, and with a 32A cup this bra offers ample support. I haven't had a problem with slippage or anything popping out.

be careful of sizing on new models!
I am obsessed with the free to be bra. I own at least 6 of these and wear them every day. The straps are super cute to layer under a loose tank as well as tighter fitting clothing. I love that the straps are just slightly visible under CRBs, coastal tanks, 105 singlets, etc.
However, i recently purchased a new one and got my usual 6. I am towards a smaller end of a 6 for the free to be bra (being a 32D) and didn't think twice about it. Took it home and ripped off the tags and the criss-cross straps at the back are SUPER tight. The old straps were very stretchy and the new ones are barely stretchy. This means that the back center of the bra where the straps attach is riding up in the middle.
I am lucky i am at a smaller end of a 6 as there is no way it would have fit me if I was any bigger. The first couple of wears it was very uncomfortable because it was always pulling on my neck and the back looked like it was pulling.
I will be sure to be more vigilant and try everything on before i get excited and rip off the tags.
No one can ever tell I'm wearing a sports bra and they're always surprised when they find out. I'm still obsessed with this bra even with the new sizing so that's why I've rated it 5 stars.

Not much support
Didn't like the color "apex stripe black angel wing/cayman stripe black mojave tan" stripes. On size 10 stripes stretches and not parallel - doesn't look good even under mesh.
Tiny stripes on back are not enough for sizes above 8 ' they hang on front and bra is not that supportive. For work may be. For workout - no. For running - no way.
I may get it in white 8 for work.
I was at the store today and tried 10 and 8 in light blue. 10 was like 12. 8 was like 10. Something strange is going on with sizing at Lulu. It is getting harder and harder order on-line without trying things on. Return policy on sale items is not encouraging. Take Athleta as an example!
For small sizes this bra is not an issue and I am sure it is great.

Love love love!
I'm a 32D so its really hard to find sports bras that fit and look good. I got this in a size 8 and had to buy another shortly after because I loved it so much. I wear these on 8-14 mile hikes up mountains and they are so comfortable and supportive.

After having my eye on this bra style I decided to try it out. I loved the design, but unfortunately it did not give me enough coverage and support. I am disappointed with this style but will stick to the energy bra.

Love the style and fit, but so much pilling
I am an avid Lulu buyer, and own a lot of Luxtreme fabric products. I got this bra a few months ago, and love how comfortable it is. I can wear it under anything, and to yoga and it is amazing. What is not amazing is how after being washed only once and worn under regular clothes and to yoga a few times, it is covered in little pills. This is not something I've experienced with my multiple Energy bras. Not really sure why it is happening since they are both Luxtreme? Overall great fit and style but the quality is just lacking for some reason. I want another but don't want to take a chance...

Love this bra!
I tried this bra on in store along with 15+ other bras. I would recommend trying the Lululemon bras on in store if you can. I purchased this in a size bigger (size 8) than what I order in tanks (size 6).
I agree with what other reviews have said; either the waist band on the bra is too tight or too loose.
I got this bra in a size 8 because back fat is easily created (where the material cross, not pretty) if it's too tight.
I've worn the bra 6+ times under tanks and at yoga. The bra does not move; fits fine around the waist; and holds everything in. I'm 146lb, 32C-D, 5'8 and normally wear a size 6 tank (sometimes 4 or 2 if it's a baggy style). I really love this bra and plan on ordering another in black.
If it helps anyone, I purchased a size 6 for the lift and separate bra but a size 8 in this bra.

No neck pain!
I'm very sensitive to neck pain with tight sports bra. Unlike Energy bra, this is not too snug and have no neck pain issue. It says 'light' support but for small chested girl like me (34A) it's enough and I have a small cleavage (yeah!) I'll definitely buy more colors.

Cute and comfy
I have two of these bras both in size 6. I am generally a 4-6 up top in lulu, a 4 normally in the crops but sized up in order to better accommodate my bust (32C/34B).
This bra is so cute and comfortable on. It is suitable for all activities that aren't high impact. It's not super tight fitting and is very lightweight and therefore I feel like I can breathe in it. Easy to get on and off which is great after a sweaty session where your clothes stick to you or if you have DOMS and you can't lift your arms above your head.
I find it looks a lot better and doesn't tend to ride up at the back if the inserts are in, even though the inserts move when putting the bra on and then require adjustment so you don't look lumpy. This is kind of annoying and as someone suggested it'd be a good idea for the inserts to be anchored with a couple of stitches.
The wide and constantly updated range of colours means that everyone should be able to find at least one colour they like.
It is a little low cut at the front which looks good when upright but beware if you're bending over as you may then need to readjust.
