Hi! I have a question about these shorts. I want to buy them for my husband. He is a PE teacher and doesn't like when the material of shorts is too thin/light, because when he puts keys in his pockets they weigh the material down. Before purchasing these shorts I want to find out if they can handle a phone and keys in the pockets without stretching. I wanted to buy him the power yoga short, but they are no longer available online. He has the kung fu pants and loves them, and I want to buy him something comparable in shorts. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Started off impressed, now not so much
I received a pair of core shorts in the summer of 2011, and loved them. They had the look and feel that I was looking for. Recently someone stole my bag out of my car and I went to replace the core short. Lulu has now since changed the look of the shorts and the material. It's not the same. The material feels different and the new style fits differently. I've seen the "Old" style come out again in white, and a light blue, but not in black. Disappointing, and disappointed.

absolutely love the core shorts. i really wish more colors were made though. i recall seeing the blue shorts once, but passed on buying them that week.. checked a few weeks later and have been out of stock ever since.

Super great shorts. Really like the side pocket. Please make them in red with two black stripes down the side similar to the red Response shorts.

AHHMAZING
Best workout shorts I have ever owned, amazing for crossfit workouts, running around the track, hiking, and laying around. I love how light the fabric is and how quick it drys. The length is perfect and they are a very comfortable fit. I wish they had more variety in colors, I had to start doubling and even tripling up. I check sometime to see what Canada is offered and it seems there is more options for the Core Shorts. Send a little love down south.

Worlds most versatile shorts?
Not only have these shorts been excellent for Crossfit workouts and general lifting, but I just took them for a 3 day hike in New Zealand. They're the most comfortable shorts I've owned and I use them for everything.

Wow !
I went to the Lululemon Athletica shop at Easton Town Center in Columbus about two weeks ago. The attentive staff introduced meme to the Core Shorts. I bought a pair that day and tried them out walking earlier this week...wow ! What a great find !!! I was so impressed with the fit and feel of these shorts, I bought a second pair at the Cleveland store ! They fit great over compression shorts and also compression pants. The pockets held up to keys, a cell phone, and a wallet, and the Core Shorts are so comfortable, if it was summer, I would not want to change out of them. Having been 355 pounds not long ago and now down just under 230, I was looking for some workout/walking/running clothes that look good. And the XL size fits very well. The gal at the sizing station advised me on the size that looked the best on me. Good choice. I highly recommend the Core Shorts to anyone. By the way, I attached a 'before' and a 'work in progress' photo.

Much like everywhere else in this thread, these shorts are great. No complaints about the shorts whatsoever. No come out with more colors please!

These Shorts Are A Homerun!
Fit: The shorts are the perfect length almost to the knees. Perfectly elasticized waistband that is tight but not too tight. The draw string isn't too long. They are snug around the waist and butt but loose through the inseam and legs.
Comfort: The perfect combination of light, wicking and cool! They will allow you to go from activity to activity with great ease. More ideally suited for weight training, sports but will work well for yoga and running. They fit loose so some may not prefer them for the latter two activities.
Colors: There were almost too many colors and styles to choose from! I really like the black quasi-camo pattern. Some of the colors have slightly different fabrics. Some of the different colors are accompanied by a different color waist band. If you can't find the right color for you then you'll never be satisfied!
Overall: The best darn shorts you'll ever buy! I'm a trainer who lives in shorts year round for work, running, weights, yoga, hiking, biking, football and baseball. I bought 6 pairs before they were sold out. They are light but not clingy or overly form fitting like lots of light materials are. They have an amazing iphone/smartphone pocket to keep your phone while you are working/walking around. There isn't a better pair of shorts out there...don't miss the boat!

Sizing review
I recently bought these online for my husband. He's 6 ft 1" tall, about 200 lbs (muscular build), wears a size 36/32 in jeans (with a belt). I debated between sizes XL and L. I decided to buy a L and they fit him perfectly.
There weren't enough sizing reviews online when I bought these shorts, so hopefully this helps someone choose a size!
