Free Fall Crop
More colors, please!
Love these! The dropped crotch is oh-so-comfortable while being small enough to fit properly without looking like I have on a diaper. I'm hoping LLL puts them in WMTM so I can buy more. The fit is very forgiving. I wish LLL sold these when I first started buying LLL. These would have been the only bottoms I own. They're great for both yoga and hanging out. They only start to get form-fitting below the knee. They're semi-fitted from waist to knee. Wish they came in more colors.

Oh so soft and cozy
I am an old fan of the Free Fall crops. I too have these in Luon in several colors and wear them often in warmer days. I had been waiting for lululemon to re-release the style and was very excited when it did. I read the description and noticed this time the crops were made out Practice Cotton. I didn't own any bottoms in this material yet but ordered a pair just because I really find the design not only flattering but extremly comfortable. Well, I am in love with my new Free Fall crops in PC: the material is incredibly soft, forgiven (unlike Luon), and so cozy for the colder days of fall. It would have been odd to release them for summer, but they are part of the fall items and making them in this warmer fabric does make sense to me. Just like with the Iconic Sweater Wrap, a great design that lululemon has released in four totally different fabrics (Boolux, Vitasea, Organic Cotton, Tencel), I hope to see the Free Fall in a variety of materials, no just Luon and Practice Cotton. Luxtreme or even better, brushed Luxtreme would be great too. So thank you lululemon not only for bringing back the design but in a new fabric too. There are only so many Free Fall crops in Luon that I want to buy.
I got the same size as my other ones in Luon and the fit is exactly the same. I take my smaller size in all botttoms described as "loose" to minimize the dropped crotch look. I just wore them paired with the new Awesoma Henley, under the Right as Rain jacket, Herringbone Vinyasa and wool socks and tall Hunter rainboots to walk my dog on a cold rainy day. The only thing I would add to this design is the option the Will pants have, to wear the ends of the drawstring cord inwards so that it doesn't protrude under slim fit tops (like the Henley I just mentioned), creating an unattractive bulge.

Feel of Practice Cotton not the same as Luon
I have two original pairs, black and porcelain blue and have been very happy with the Free Flow Crop!:) I was excited to see them again and in different colors. But, after reading the only review, I was apprehensive about getting my new pair in heathered black.
While they are made of Practice Cotton and it's totally Lululemon, the feel of Practice Cotton is not the same as Luon in these particular crops. The feel of Luon made these crops! I could easily wear my Luon Free Flow Crops in southern California on a day like today which will be headed in the 90's. Not so in the Practice Cotton as they are too thick and hot.
Luon really makes these crops feel fantastic on! Sadly, because they are Practice Cotton, they are going back.:(

Yikes! Not Luon.
I was excited to see these back again - my Free Fall Crop from 2012 (a pretty Concord Grape - miss that colorway!) is still going strong, not to mention looking really good.
I grabbed the gray and also the black - when they arrived I was surprised at how heavy they were. The material was really thick. I went to check my old pair, and it was much lighter. I tried the new ones on anyway - and they really seemed to hang funny. I wear a 4 in LLL (5'5" 34c-24-35) but thought these made my legs look really top-heavy - the thighs looked rounded and bulge-y, and the calfs sausage-y. Whoa - not what one looks for when buying Lululemon bottoms. I'm not muscle-y nor stick-leg, but it's strange to go from never thinking about my legs much to "uh this is unattractive".
So - ah, "Practice Cotton". Of course everyone's mileage will vary - but this material obliterates what I really love about the Free Fall Crop - the easy-going, hangs just right, sexy-cool-without-trying look.
The loose fit I feel is weighed down by the Cotton and makes the shape look dumpy, like cheaper sweatpants, vs. in the Luon it just floats over the legs and you still look very obviously shapely just underneath the fabric - and without feeling like you're on display (that is with painted-on tights).
I'm also not a fan of the contrast seams - in the Wills and Stills I can sometimes overlook them. I feel like my eyes keep going to all the outlines of the pockets, the center seam down the front etc. So if I had to, I could only do the Bordeaux with the tone-on-tone seams. But I really don't think I will, not until LLL comes out with the Free Fall in Luon again...
