Water Bound Crop
I love the fit of these pants so much, they have a perfect low rise waist band and the perfect crop length. I also love the material, it really keeps you cool while working out. HOWEVER, the black and white waist band bled as soon as I washed them for the first time. Of course i washed them in cold water without fabric softener as I do with all of my Lulu stuff but these did not cooperate. The waist band now looks dirty and old because the white section turned grey. Such a let down!!! I guess I'll just be wearing a long shirt all of the time with these...

different good or different BAAAAD...
As many reviewers have pointed out, the material is different. Due to the conformity of the material, they are slightly difficult to wiggle into. Regardless, they are lightweight and sweat-wicking. Luv the laser cut detailing at the back of the legs! I got these in my usual Lulu size 6 (5'-2" appx 120-125 lbs). Though they were fitted, they were not uncomfortable. I have to note that the rise leans more toward low than medium. I mean, I definitely cannot wear these on my fat days! My only real grievance is that of the two I bought, the one with the black and white striped waistband totally bled through. Similar to what someone else experienced with the water bound singlet, the black bled into the white. Now the waistband is a dirty gray color. In some spots, there's an inky black stain. (Refer to photos.) How did I wash it? As with all of my Lulu's, I hand washed these crops in Wool Lite and air dried thereafter. Color bleeding seems to be an ongoing theme with Lulu's black/apex style (refer to reviews for Get It On Top as well as Water Bound Singlet). Not sure what my options are at this point since this is obviously a quality issue.

Water, here I come
I ordered these from the WMTM section, loving the ventilation at the back of the calves.
Material is different from what I was expecting. I am normally an 8 in LLL pants. Other reviews say they "bag out" when wet so I suspect these do fit as TTS - just a bit snug when dry :) The loop which ppl complained about or that seam digging in, I haven't had any issues with and these are snug when dry....not sure where that complaint is coming from.
The description says mid rise but I think these are def lower than mid rise - bordering on marathon crop low rise. Not a big fan of that rise but will live with them a) bc these are final sale so no returns....and b) bc I like everything else about these crops.
Looking forward to trying them out for SUP'ing on a chilly day. Don't think I will run in these, they aren't feeling incredibly "breathable" above the ventilation area :) Also seem like great crops for casual with a short dress or summer tank. Would be awesome in a shorter crop inseam length. Good purchase though - glad I took the plunge.

I bought my usual size 8 (5'7" 140 lbs) the pants fit great and the little holes at the bottom are a nice look. Although, this material is NOT comfortable at all. Working out in them was very uncomfortable and I could not focus due to it. I was in a 45 minute HIIT class and the fabric mixed with sweat is horrid. I have yet to try them in water, but probably wont. These will forever just sit tucked away in my closet.

Not good for running!!!
I bought these on sale sight unseen. Odd material - like a hardened swimsuit. Great fit. Despite being marketed for running they are horrible running pants! There is a seam on the lateral side of the knee that chafes on long sweaty runs. My knee is rubbed raw from it! Give them a miss if you plan on running in them!

So far so good
I bought these on sale in the colour with the blue waistband. I love that colour and I wish these had come solidly in that blue with lighter trim (to match the water:bound bra) because black is so hot to wear in the sun. All the colour combos offered were mainly black.
These crops are very moisture wicking while running. I have not yet worn them swimming but if the bra is any indication, these will not bag out and sag when truly wet like a typical swimsuit. I hope this is the case.
My only complaints are that the holes behind the knee do feel like they might rip when I pull them over my calves and there is no good place to put my phone while running.

Don't get how people give these five stars
Tried these on in store and they were totally sheer. I am a true size 4 in luxtreme type pants and tried the 6 for the heck of it....still sheer, and bagged out on me. So confused why people like these.

Worst buy... EVER
I was jumping up and down as I left the post office this morning with the lulu package. When I got home and opened them, I was sorely disappointed... They looked like I just bought them from a discount, knock off store. The material was itchy and bunched up in all the wrong places, and the small holes behind the knee looked cheap. I wore them once, and some of the holes began to tear together so if I wash them again they will completely rip. These weren't cheap pants either... $88.
This is my second let down in a row... I won't be purchasing lulu again anytime soon.

I really liked the material of these. They give good compression and it is light and airy for a warm weather run. However, when I wore them for an extended period last week, the inside where the 'key loop' is attached was rubbing. Big raised seam there - and it hurt!! I had to eventually fold up some tissue and put it between my hip and the material so I could keep going. Not sure I would have spent the big bucks on these if I know I'd have to do that each time I wore them. :(

Love these crops!
I bought these crops for sun protection at the pool with my kid as well as a deep water running class. I love them! I recently wore them on a beach vacation and they went from the pool to the beach to the bike. Would love to see them in a plain black or something a little more neutral. Would buy another pair if I liked the other colors ( I got blue tropics). For reference I am 5'7" and a solid 6 in all lulu pants and this is no exception. Thanks for thinking of us water people!!
