why we made this
Simplicity is a beautiful thing. We made this bra because we wanted a seasonless classic that we could wear under any tank, for every activity. We gave it a COOLMAX liner and added mesh in strategic places so we can blow off steam when we work up a sweat.
fabric + features
racerback design means this bra is invisible under most athletic tanks
thin straps allow you to move and twist with ease
mesh panelling between the cups and on the back helps sweat evaporate quickly
chafe-resistant elastic band under the bust provides support where you need it most
New Favorite Bra!
I went to Lululemon today to try on all of there bras...and I actually have an Energy Bra...but this bra beats it by far! As soon as I tried it on I loved it...so soft and comfortable and doesn't suffocate you like most other sports bras. I got a size 6 and wear a 34D in normal bras. Hope this helps! Worth the $$$

My new favorite sports bra
I was contemplating on getting the size 4 or 6. I'm 5'5 110 lbs and a 32B for reference. I ended up going with the size 4. It does fit very good! It is a bit snug around my armpits but when I position it right it doesn't really bother me that much. I am a avid hiker/runner/yogi and wear this bra all the time and have no complaints yet. I almost exchanged it for a size 6 but that size was looser on the waist band and I wanted it to be more fitting. Stick to the size chart! Unless you want it looser on you. Overall I love this bra and plan on getting more colors! Super cute, versatile and comfy!

J'adore ce soutien-gorge mais il serait encore mieux dans la meme matière que le Energy Bra. Please Lululemon, Do this!

Worst version of Flow Y Bra ever!
Lululemon what have you done? 1 out of 5 stars is generous. Rating should read: 0 out of 5. This used to be a great bra back in 2009 when I first started buying / wearing this bra. Why change a great thing? It was redesigned a couple years back and fit tighter and lower cut: first step in wrong direction. This recent redesign is now the worst ever: the material feels so cheap and terrible to the touch and I cannot imagine this bra would withstand more than (5) wears and washes without being completely ruined. Also, the bra is now cut higher under the arms so it is impossible to move your arms in any direction without the material rubbing against the skin most uncomfortably (and Lululemon this would be true regardless of your weight/how thin you are). You had a great product back in 2009. Not sure why any company would set out to deliberately change something that was already great. All the changes you have made since then have only made this bra worse than previous versions. This latest redesign is completely unwearable. My recent purchase is being returned and I'll seek out a different brand unless Lulu redeems itself.

great for everyday use
I love this bra, because it is so comfortable yet still has some support. With extremely intense activity, one may want a bra with some more support, but for an everyday work out this bra is great.

Awful re-design, not enough info on website
I have several perfectly fitting Flow Y bras purchased less than 2 years ago. I just received the camo version and I just hate it.
The straps are too close together in the middle. The bra part is too short. The fabric is scratchy and slippery. The fit is way off. It squashes my breasts into a spare tire shape that wraps around my chest and under my arms.
This bra isn't supportive enough for me to use for sports but I do like my older versions to keep me covered and comfortable for my casual but active job. Expecting some consistency with sizing, and being a big fan of camo prints I removed all of the tags and was ready to wear my new bra today. I was so dismayed when I put it on that I would rather chuck it in the trash.
I have hundreds of Lulu items and this piece and the cardio kick tank tie for the WORST purchases I've ever made.

Bring back the old one!
I purchased 2 of these bras about 3 years ago and love them to death...and therefore need new ones! I went to try the new one in the store and was very sadly disappointed. The new one does not fit the same way as the old one. I'm small chested, 34A, and fit a size 4. The new one makes me look even more flat chested than I already am and the cut is lower than the old version. Please bring back the old version!

Bad fit and itchy
This is the second time I've tried purchasing a Flow Y in the last year. I've lost several inches so when I saw the cadet blue colour (which is beautiful) I had to try again. I am a 28DD in regular bras and I bought a size 2.
I will say that it is listed as medium coverage and this was true for me.
However, this bra gives the chest a really weird and unattractive shape. I played with the cup inserts but no change. I also found that the straps and the sides of the bra were itchy to the point that I couldn't wear it. I thought it was odd that the band and chest area could fit appropriately (if not attractively) but the straps were too long.
Unfortunately, this will be returned and I will continue to search for a bra that offers medium coverage with larger cup size and a small band. It doesn't seem like Lulu makes anything for those of us who are petite and busty so we'll have to start shopping elsewhere...

I bought my flow Y when one of the colors I liked made it to the WMTM section for $29 and I have to say it's one of the best purchases i've made in a while. I got it in the ziggy wee inkwell color and I wear it with almost all my workout tops, in fact I can't remember the last time I picked up my other sports bras...I think it was last year. The material is sooo so soft, the fabric is definitely moisture wicking, it keeps you from overheating, it is invisible under the CRBs as well as other workout tops, and it supports without flattening your breasts which is a big plus in my book since i'm a small 32B. I bought the size 4 and it fits perfectly.
I use this bra for everything: yoga(ashtanga and hatha), Bodypump, Zumba, Piyo, and i've even run in it without any issue. However, I think I can do low/medium/some high impact activities in this bra because i'm already small chested. I wouldn't recommend this bra for any long lasting high impact activities, especially for bustier women.
Regarding the "new lower cut" to this bra--I don't mind at all, in fact, I like it. It makes the bra sexier and makes me look like I actually have breasts! lol. If it were a higher cut I would probably get the same effect as I do with my other bras which is a flat chested, almost prepubescent look. For that reason, I really like the cut as it is now.
The only con I can think of is that sometimes the straps flip over, but they are pretty thin so i'm not surprised that happens and I don't really mind or even notice half the time. Besides that, I got nothing. This was my first lulu bra purchase and i'm very happy with it!

Different than the older version
As a small-chested woman (32B on a good day, 5' 5" and 120 lbs) I run, do CrossFit, and do yoga in older versions of the Y-Bra and I love them. They provide plenty of support for me, but this new version is different.
The band on this version is much wider than in the past and the bra overall has less coverage. The cup inserts are huge and don't fit into the bra right so you have weird bulges and lines when you put it in. I tried the bounce test and it was a mess. This bra has less support and is cut much much lower than previous versions. It's not bad for only wearing casually or for yoga, but I couldn't do anything else in it. I sent it back.
