snug as a bug in a rug... but not for me this was the first sports bra i ever bought from lululemon, and i have to say, it's not my favorite. i'm not sure if the product has changed at all from when i bought mine a few years ago. my usual size 4 felt tight. so much so that i felt like i was constantly tugging at it during spin to make it easier to take a breath. i would consider ordering a size up if you want them. there's nothing horribly wrong with the product, but it's just not for me. it's functional and has great coverage. Disappointed I was really excited to buy this bra. Sadly, after using it regularly for the last 3 months my excitement has waned a lot. Don't get me wrong - the bra is very comfortable and it fits really well, but I have a few issues with it that I didn't think would happen when shelling over almost $50 for a bra. First of all, it has started to smell. When I wear it I sweat a lot, but I give it a good wash after every use. Still, for the first time ever with a Lululemon product, it has picked up a bit of a sweaty lingering smell that won't go away. My other big problem with the bra is that the main elastic around my ribs is starting to stretch and lose its shape. It still fits but it's become noticeable that the elastic is stretching out. Other than that, there isn't much to complain about with this bra. It's really good for support and comfort when working out but I've gotta say with the two issues I've had with it I am feeling a lot less inclined to keep spending big bucks at Lululemon for clothing that, in my opinion, continues to decline in quality but not price. Cute, Comfy, and Functional I bought this bra in a size 4. I am usually a 32DDD, but I like my bras to be very snug. I have worn this bra a couple times and it is super comfortable! Also, the strapped back looks cute with a lot of the lulu tanks! I am very happy and will definitely buy in other colors! October 15, 2014
Reference: I am 5' 1" and 115 pounds. I wear a 34b and I always buy lululemon sport bras in a size 4. I am NOT super fit lol or fit at all... I purchased the Energy Bra in the beginning of 2013. Seriously the best investment I have ever made, but at the same time it wasn't because I should of purchased more before I went abroad for a semester. When I came back after 5 months in Europe, I purchased a couple more Energy Bra's, little did I know, lululemon changed their design. The size 4 felt tighter than a corset and the size 6 was way too big. It has been one year and I am still waiting for lululemon to bring back their old design/fit. I was told that ALL (please bring the original design back in black) of the Energy Bras would be back to the original model by the end of summer/ beginning of fall but the fit hasn't changed and I am still waiting... Even though this has put a hold on my unconditional love for lululemon; I still refuse to wear any other sports bra other than my Energy Bra. So that is why this product still deserves 5 stars. Hopefully my review will stay 5 stars - as long as I get the original model of the Energy Bra back by the end of this year!! October 12, 2014
The perfect bra I have 5 of these bras. They are amazing.. Hold everything in (36 C) and are so pretty at the same time. My first one is starting to loose shape ect however I can't complain because I have worn it many times a week for two years October 9, 2014
Great Coverage Sucky Straps I was in love with this item.. in the fitting room. The band on the Energy Bra is unbelievably comfy and the coverage is great however the straps move during my practice. It moved right into the groove of where a halter top would sit creating tension in such an unnecessary area of the shoulder. It caused pain if worn too long under a casual shirt and I had to keep pulling the straps into place. I will not be buying another Energy Bra :( October 7, 2014
Loved in store- Not on mat I've had many ups and downs with Lulu and this experience just put me over the edge, so I felt it was time to write a review. I purchased this bra in store, along with the Run: Inspire Crop II. After trying on a size 6 and 8, I went with the 8. The bust and band fit well- snug but not digging in. The straps seemed like they'd be unnoticed during practice, which was great bc I loved the look of them. About 20 minutes into yoga class, the back straps started moving in closer to my neck/between my shoulder blades, which became a huge annoyance to keep moving them over. Secondly, the band around the bottom bust became strangely loose- where I could feel it lifting and moving around when I would twist or bend. Lastly, even though the band was stretching and becoming looser, the inside of the band (where the straps are sewn on) kept rubbing on my skin leaving a raw red mark on my back. The experience in store was great until I got home. While in the fitting room, I was trying on this bra, the Run: Inspire Crop II and Seek The Heat Crop. I absolutely loved the fit and look of the Seek The Heat Crop, but I wasn't a fan of the print, so I asked the fitting room attendant if she could check for the black online. She came back to my room and let me know they were unavailable online. So with that said, I was a bit bummed, but I went ahead and bought the Run: Inspire Crop II, which was my second choice. I was all in all happy with everything (this is before I wore the bra to yoga) so I went online that afternoon to check out more product, and what do you know- the Seek The Heat Crop were actually available in the size and colored I preferred. I found that extremely annoying, as I would have absolutely purchased those instead. Not sure what to take from this experience.. as I love Lulu and don't want to stop shopping, but I feel like myself and many other customers have been let down so frequently. October 7, 2014
Good Coverage, Works for Smaller Chest Too I got this sports bra because I wanted more coverage than the Free to Be bra provides and that is exactly what I got! It fits TTS and feels great. My only little complaint is that it comes close to my armpits, but I am sure that is because it is meant for larger busts. I'm a 36A. Love the straps too - especially the ones that have different colors / pattern than the rest of the bra. If you want more coverage, but are small in the chest like me, this may work for you! Great fit and comfortable I typically wear a 34 C to a D in a normal bra. I went into the store and asked someone about something with support and control. She directed me to the energy bra. I purchased a size 8 and I love it. It's so comfortable. It has padding that can be removed. I wore it to my kick boxing class and I didn't feel like the "girls" would hit my face. I went back a couple days later and bought a second one. October 6, 2014
Not great if busty.... Stretches out... I was so excited to find a bra that worked well for my 36DD chest. I bought three of them. But then, I wore one today for a strength training workout. It's a size 12. The 10 was too small for "the girls." Well, it had mild/medium support. I then ran errands, and came home. And within a few hours, it felt as if the bra needed someone to take the straps up 2". It's like it grew. It's so adorable, I'm tempted to keep it, and I guess, I have to since it's been worn. The bummer is the two others. One bra that feels big but is cute... Ok. Three though? This sucks. I can return one that has tags. But the other, also NWT was on sale in the store... And true to Lulu's policies, this means "final sale." Big time bummer... October 3, 2014
