Studio Pant II *Unlined (Regular)

Strong and light, this fabric is woven to stand up to watever we throw at it - we love it for its no-bulk, no-nonsense performance

why we made this

We designed these pants to keep us comfortable on the way to and from the studio or the gym. Two-way stretch fabric gives us room to move, and a drawcord at the hem lets us cinch up the legs to turn these pants into crops when we need a little extra air.

fabric + features

  • woven for strength and no-bulk performance - Swift fabric moves with us and stays out of our way
  • Swift fabric is two-way stretch, breathable and treated with a durable water repellant finish to help protect against light rain
  • cinch the continuous drawcord at the hem to shorten the pant into a crop
  • the wide waistband has an elastic drawcord for comfort

Beautiful colour! So far these are great. I have the crop and loved them so decided to give the pants a try. They are long, but I'm short 5'1" +/-. FYI these are labelled with the black swan colour code October 27, 2014
They are cute AND they fit over my cast I love these pants. I really do. Does the waistband fold over after a few washes? Yes. Are they too long (and I have a long inseam)? Yes. But man are they comfortable and versatile for an active mom. I wear them long to my kids' baseball games and can turn them into cropped pants if it gets too hot. The best feature for me right now is how easily they go on over my cast since I broke my ankle. So I ordered another color since I will be wearing these a lot! One more thing, they run big so size down at least a size when ordering. October 26, 2014
like the pants, but..... I really like these pants, however my first pair started to fold over the top (elastic) within 1.5 months of owning them. I still enjoy them as they are so comfortable, but surprised it would mis-shapen so quickly considering I wash in cold (delicate) and hang to dry. I thought I would give them another try and bought the lined ones and within a few wears it happened again!!! I would love other colours, but not sure I want to spend the money for something that will fold over so quickly. October 22, 2014
Multiple pairs purchased Great casual pant. Wouldn't necessarily wear to work out...not enough flexibility in the leg if you have an athletic build. True to size. 5'4', 140 lbs. Comfortable through the hips and leg. Little too long but they work for me. Have one pair long and two cropped (ideal for summer when you don't want to wear shorts while running errands!!). Lightweight fabric is certainly breathable and keeps you cool. Easy to wash and dry fairly quickly. October 20, 2014
Runaway legs Love these pants. Have two capris pairs and have worn them for several years - still in great shape. Wanted a pair for the winter. Got the Ink color - love it. Had read some other reviews about the length being long. I live chatted with an associate to double check and she confirmed the 31.5" length. They are much longer than that. But, she assured me they have elastic at the bottom that you can use to pull them up to your proper length. They in fact, do - but, c'mon Lulu, there is no way to keep them pulled up without tying the elastic - and who wants to do that? So, my husband went to Big 5 and got me two "cord keepers" - the spring loaded ones on lots of clothing items. Bam - did exactly what you guys should have thought of. Keeps the elastic at the exact spot you want them. The associate also confirmed the free hemming at stores, but I don't live close to a store to drop off and pick up conveniently. Start putting some cord keepers on them - my husband paid $1.49. October 19, 2014
piles, poor quality for price Earlier this summer, bought the 3/4 pant version of this style & fabrication. When they arrived, loved them. Light, cool pants for summer. But 4 months later after 1 wash only per week, they're piling, the top stitching around the waistband and poor quality of the waistband elastic itself are not up to par. Especially for the high price point. Too expensive for the poor quality and very disappointing only months later that they look like old pants. Hope for next season the product marketing/management and quality control folks really look at the value for money and true quality of these pants. I do love the style of the 3/4 pants, but not acceptable quality for the price. October 18, 2014
Great pant with minor changes First off let me say I LOVE these pants, so comfortable and light. I would buy another pair if there were a couple of adjustments. The regular length is really long. I live 2hrs from the nearest store so the hemming doesn't work for me. The elastic at the bottom is great, but then the fabric bunches up at the bottom and when i'm hiking, the grips of my shoes snag the extra fabric and have almost tripped me on many occasions. I'm having them hemmed locally for this reason. Second, the string in the middle of the waistband is annoying. Unless you're super skinny, the band above the string folds over itself, and is not only uncomfortable, it looks frumpy. I'm forever lifting it back up from folding over on itself. If the string was nearer the top of the waistband, or the waistband not so wide I think this would fix the problem. I'm also thinking of having my seamstress move the string for me. The pants are expensive, i'd own an pair in every color if these things were addressed. October 15, 2014
Elastic problem. I have these pants, I got them but I wore them just a few times. I really enjoy the fabric it really is versatile. My elastic started folding over and after a few washes and wares it has misshaped to the point I just find them extremely uncomfortable. October 14, 2014
Studio pant unlined I purchased the lined studio pant 2 years ago and love them. I do love these as well but they are too long on me and the pants drag when I wore them. I am 5'3 123 pounds and ordered a size 6 which fits perfectly except for the length. The length would be perfect for someone 5'7" and taller. I lost my receipt so now I am stuck with $110 pant(that I love) but cannot wear outdoors because of the length. October 11, 2014
I love these pants! I love love love these pants. Love. I am surprised and saddened that some reviewers have had problems with them (sad because I want everyone to find them as comfortable as I do). I have had these pants for about 1 1/2 years (maybe the quality was better at that time???) and I have had no problems with the waist band, or anything. They are truly the most comfortable pair of pants I have ever owned. I wear them every day - the first thing I do when I get home from work is put them on. I wash them a lot (not exaggerating about wearing them every day) and they have held up really really well. This sounds cheesy, but I always tell people it feels like they're made out of clouds. I truly love these pants. They're also really cute, and I find them to be really flattering. I'm 5'10" and they are the perfect length for me, so I didn't have to worry about having them hemmed. I wish they weren't quite as expensive so I could afford to own a pair in every color. October 10, 2014
